NEWSFLASH: How to buy "The River" on CD, and "The Origins of AIDS" on DVD.

For the last year or more, I have received enquiries on virtually a daily basis from people who wanted to buy my book "The River", or the film documentary that highlighted my research: "The Origins of AIDS". Recently both have been difficult to obtain, and copies of "The River" have been selling second-hand for prices of up to $200 US. Happily, and after many months of delays, there is now some good news to report on both fronts.

Update: As of December 2007, the content of this article has been superceded, since the full-length version of "The Origins of AIDS" is now readily viewable on the Web, via YouTube, Google video, or indeed this site.


Despite the many international awards it has won, and its substantial reputation (much of it via word-of-mouth recommendation), many people have found that it is very difficult to access (let alone purchase) "The Origins of AIDS" documentary, in any of its formats.

"The Origins of AIDS", the TV documentary about how AIDS began, which highlights the oral polio vaccine (OPV) hypothesis and the attempts to suppress it, has had a tremendous impact since it was first shown on television in November 2003.

Word-of-mouth news about this multi-award-winning film has been spreading, and during the last two years (but especially since the start of 2006) I have been deluged with e-mail and letter enquiries about how to purchase the film, or view the film. For several reasons [see below], it has until now been extremely difficult for me to answer that question.

For the record, I myself was not part of the film-making team, although I assisted the film-makers at different times in the project, and featured as a talking head, especially in the second part of the film.
